Once there was a poor yet educated man who couldn't get a job but he did not pick up a gun to rob, he just started selling vegetables on a cart. Little did he know that to earn an honest living you needed a permit! They took away his cart, he pleaded and requested that they allow him to earn an honest living but they wouldn't listen. Heartbroken he wrote a letter to his mother and set him self on fire. A story that has been repeated hundreds of times in this land of the pure yet life carries on everyday with its same routine and no one cares. In a few days everything is forgotten, fortunately this story doesn't end this way because it did not take place in the land of the pure!
His plight reached the masses, they united and overthrew oppression, the poor man didn't live to see the change but his spirit would be watching this with a solemn smile his life did not go in vain and for the hundreds if not thousands of Pakistani souls up there the wait continues till the day they can smile and say we did not die in vain.
A long time ago a great ruler and administrator said, " If a dog dies of thirst by the bank of Euphrates, Omar (may the blessing of Allah be upon him) will be questioned about it on the day of judgment ". Today its not dogs its humans that die, that live in despair and wait for the misery to be over! But even the Almighty helps those who choose to help themselves.... may the day come when all of us decide to get rid of oppression because only then will the divine help arrive...only then will all those souls rest in peace!
